This field-based role is responsible for scientific exchange and education around NeoGenomics’ products to academic and community oncologists and Key Opinion Leaders. You will develop a network of KOLs through client-facing interactions, drive publications and presentations, and educate physicians on assay offerings and relevant scientific data in person or via virtual presentations.
The MSL works adjacently with the designated field-based clinical sales team to provide additional scientific and medical support. You will collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments including sales, marketing, client services, accessioning, billing, legal, and managed care to ensure seamless scientific training and support.

Requirements
- Strong background in oncology and genomic testing
- Excellent scientific communication skills
- Field-based position requiring proximity to a major airport in Boise, SLC, Phoenix, Denver, Omaha, or Minneapolis
- Ability to establish and maintain medical and scientific relationships with KOLs and healthcare providers
- Experience presenting scientific data to academic and community physicians
- Willingness to travel regionally and attend major conferences and trade shows
Responsibilities
- Identify, develop and maintain strong relationships with academic and community physicians, KOLs, research leaders, and other healthcare providers
- Facilitate knowledge and education of relevant medical and scientific content (tumor boards, advisory boards, symposia) and NeoGenomics’ products to oncologists and pathologists
- Develop strong client engagement through phone conferences, webinars, speaker engagements, continuing medical education, and site visits including regional travel and major conferences
- Provide updates on new/relevant scientific publications, market intelligence, and medical/scientific knowledge
- Participate in call center coverage for physician report and assay inquiries
- Present in person or virtually within assigned field territory and tumor boards
- Collaborate with internal departments including sales, marketing, client services, accessioning, billing, legal, and managed care
- Participate in medical updates and scientific presentations
