The Global Associate Director serves as Compound Market Access Leader within Johnson & Johnson's Global Commercial Strategy Organization. Reporting to the Senior Compound Market Access Leader for Early Pipeline & NBD, the role develops market access strategy for early oncology assets. It aligns with global clinical and commercial plans to shape decisions ahead of dedicated product teams.

Daily work includes directing cross-functional teams in Health Economics, Patient Reported Outcomes, Pricing, and Real-World Evidence. The leader integrates payer research and epidemiology data to build optimal value strategies. Strategic input ensures Clinical Development Plans meet market access requirements in key countries.

It serves as a thought partner to clinical, commercial, and disease area strategy leaders. Collaboration spans assets prior to full development investment and additional indications outside current remits.

Opportunities exist to evaluate New Business Development deals and maximize value through integrated access strategies. The role supports early planning of payer value generation from pre-transition stages through dedicated team appointment.

Requirements

  • Experience developing global market access strategy for pharmaceutical compounds and indications
  • Knowledge of Health Economics, PRO, Pricing, and Real-World Evidence functions
  • Ability to shape Clinical Development and Evidence Generation Plans for payer needs
  • Understanding of payer value propositions across early pipeline and NBD opportunities
  • Skill in supporting oncology assets prior to transition to full development teams

Responsibilities

  • Support the Sr CMAL and CMALs to maximize value across the early pipeline and NBD
  • Provide evaluation and strategic input into New Business Development opportunities to maximize deal value
  • Direct cross-functional teams across Health Economics, PRO, Access Policy, Pricing, and Real-World Evidence
  • Design and implement integrated approaches to payer value propositions from early development onward
  • Support early strategic planning and implementation of payer value generation and access strategies
  • Integrate pricing, payer research, health economic, and epidemiology information into value strategy
  • Serve as resource on access strategies for global clinical and commercial product teams
