About this role

The School of Pharmacy seeks an adjunct faculty member to deliver high quality learning experiences for students in undergraduate and graduate programs. The selected candidate will teach a didactic course to B.S. and graduate students in Pharmacology. Responsibilities focus on in-person instruction and student engagement.

Deliver didactic instruction in an in-person format for BS and graduate programs. Provide students with an approved syllabus including course objectives, learning outcomes, teaching methodology, attendance policies, texts, assignments, timelines, and evaluation criteria. Create engaging assignments that demonstrate real-world applications of concepts.

Use the University’s learning management system to post syllabus, assignments, materials, and communicate with students. Advise and assist students through office hours, scheduled appointments, videoconference, phone, email, or other approved mechanisms. Work independently while interacting with students, faculty, administration, alumni, and healthcare professionals.

Requirements

  • PhD degree in Pharmacology
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in the field of pharmacology in a Doctor of Pharmacy, Doctor of Medicine, or Physician’s Assistant program
  • Commitment to professional education and student success
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and effectively interact with a wide array of parties at all levels including students, faculty, administration/staff, alumni, and external constituents such as healthcare industry professionals

Responsibilities

  • Deliver didactic instruction in an in-person format in the BS and graduate programs
