About this role

The Therapeutic Products Program at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is seeking a GMP Materials Specialist & Lab Technician to support the manufacturing of cellular and gene therapy products for Phase 1/2 clinical trials. This role combines materials management in a GMP environment with hands-on laboratory support for cellular processing.

Day-to-day responsibilities include performing GMP materials workflows such as receipt, inspection, quarantine, release, and issuance of raw materials, while also monitoring inventory levels and placing orders. The lab technician component involves providing direct support for cellular processing in a cleanroom setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform GMP materials workflows including receipt, inspection, identification, quarantine, release, storage, and issuance of raw materials
  • Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage materials required for manufacturing operations
  • Maintain organized and sanitary storage areas and ensure material status, location, and quantities are accurate
  • Perform inventory transactions in the electronic system
  • Provide hands-on laboratory support for cellular processing in a cleanroom environment
  • Ensure compliant cleanroom operations and adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
  • Support the production of cellular and gene therapy products for patients enrolled in clinical trials
