Pharmacist

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our team at Northwell Health, where you will play a critical role in patient care by interpreting, compounding, and dispensing medications. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment while ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical therapies.

As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for reviewing medication orders for completeness and potential interactions, dispensing medications to inpatients, and maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with established policies and procedures. You will work closely with physicians and healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes through expert pharmaceutical care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify medication orders for accuracy, interactions, and incompatibilities
• Dispense medications to inpatients following established protocols and safety procedures
• Compound intravenous admixtures and parenteral solutions using sterile techniques
• Maintain comprehensive records for controlled substances and document interventions
• Collaborate with prescribers to resolve medication discrepancies and optimize therapy
• Order and manage pharmaceutical inventory and supplies
• Generate computer labels and maintain required statistical records
