The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking an experienced Pharmacist-In-Charge to lead our Kiawah Ambulatory Infusion Pharmacy operations. This leadership role offers the opportunity to manage a dedicated team of pharmacy professionals while ensuring the highest standards of pharmaceutical care in our state-of-the-art ambulatory infusion center.
As Pharmacist-In-Charge, you will oversee all daily pharmacy operations, including compounding and dispensing prescribed medications under physician direction. You'll be responsible for managing pharmacy staff, monitoring drug inventory, conducting compliance audits, and ensuring adherence to all regulatory guidelines and reporting requirements. This position plays a critical role in supporting our ambulatory infusion services and delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of pharmacy employees in a healthcare facility environment
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations including compounding and dispensing medications
- Monitor and audit drug inventory to ensure optimal stock levels and safety
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines and maintain accurate reporting
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to optimize patient care
- Implement and maintain pharmacy policies and procedures
- Provide clinical guidance and mentorship to pharmacy staff
Experience Requirements
Minimum 5 years experience in direct oversight of pharmacy operations and regulatory requirements
Education Requirements
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy; completion of pharmacy residency preferred
