Join the pharmacy team at Adventist Health and Rideout, a leading healthcare provider serving Yuba-Sutter County since 1907. This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive medication therapy management in a 221-bed hospital setting with 21 physician clinics and comprehensive cancer care services.
As a Pharmacist, you will verify and fill medication orders, monitor patient medication therapies, and provide drug information while identifying and troubleshooting potential medication safety hazards. You'll conduct daily medication utilization rounds, participate in clinical activities, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process, verify, and distribute medication orders in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines
- Ensure medication therapy is efficacious, safe, cost-effective, and achieves optimal therapeutic outcomes
- Conduct daily medication utilization reports and quality assurance procedures
- Participate in clinical rounds, unit-based medication management activities, and remote order verification
- Collaborate with leadership on medication procurement and formulary compliance
- Assist in process improvement and development of new pharmacy services
- Supervise and direct pharmacy support personnel
Experience Requirements
One year technical experience preferred, inpatient clinical pharmacy experience preferred
Education Requirements
Graduate of school of pharmacy required, Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree preferred
