St. Helena Hospital, founded in 1878 and located in the heart of Napa Valley, seeks a dedicated Pharmacist to join our 151-bed hospital pharmacy team. This role offers the opportunity to work in one of the most beautiful regions in the United States while providing essential pharmaceutical care in our centers of excellence including cardiac, joint replacement, cancer care, and behavioral health units.
As a Pharmacist, you will verify and fill medication orders, monitor patient medication therapies, provide drug information, and identify potential medication safety hazards. You'll work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure optimal medication therapy outcomes while supervising and directing support personnel in our state-of-the-art pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process, verify, and distribute medication orders in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines
- Conduct daily medication utilization reviews and quality assurance procedures
- Participate in clinical rounds and medication management activities
- Collaborate on formulary compliance and cost-saving initiatives
- Assist in pharmacy service development and process improvement
- Ensure medication safety standards and optimal therapeutic outcomes
Experience Requirements
One year technical experience preferred, inpatient clinical pharmacy experience preferred
Education Requirements
Graduate of school of pharmacy required, Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree preferred
