About this role
Sanofi is seeking a Medical Science Liaison specializing in Autoimmune Type 1 Diabetes to drive scientific exchange and strategic initiatives in São Paulo. This role focuses on a first-in-class therapy that delays the onset of stage 3 T1D, offering new hope for at-risk individuals.
As the trusted scientific partner for external experts, you will engage with endocrinologists, pediatricians, and key opinion leaders on disease stages, screening importance, and treatment approaches. You will also collaborate on developing evidence-based screening and monitoring protocols adapted to local contexts.
You will work within the General Medicines division, partnering with cross-functional teams to improve patient pathways and remove barriers to early intervention. This agile environment supports personalized omnichannel engagement strategies and field insights that inform medical strategy.

Requirements
- Advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or medicine (MD, PhD, PharmD preferred)
- Deep knowledge of Type 1 Diabetes disease landscape and immunomodulatory therapies
- Experience engaging with KOLs and healthcare professionals in a scientific liaison capacity
- Ability to translate complex scientific data into actionable insights for diverse audiences
- Strong understanding of clinical research methodologies and regulatory frameworks
- Proven ability to work in agile, cross-functional team environments
- Fluency in Portuguese and English, with excellent presentation and writing skills
Responsibilities
- Act as trusted scientific partner to external experts including KOLs, endocrinologists, and pediatricians
- Conduct scientific exchange on T1D disease stages, screening importance, and treatment approaches
- Collaborate on development of evidence-based screening and monitoring protocols
- Adapt global screening strategies to local contexts and engage experts to promote best practices
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve patient pathways and remove barriers to care
- Gather and analyze field insights to inform medical strategy and support Market Access teams
- Coordinate requests for Investigator-Initiated Studies, RCTs, and Managed Access Programs
- Stay current on medical and scientific developments in Type 1 Diabetes
