Cardinal Health's Nuclear Pharmacy division is seeking a Nuclear Pharmacist to manage, facilitate, and oversee execution of day-to-day operations of our nuclear pharmacy. This role is responsible for providing radiopharmaceuticals and other drugs to medical care providers under highly regulated State and Federal guidelines, while also consulting with physicians and nuclear medicine technologists on the safe and efficacious use of radioactive drugs for diagnosis and therapy.
As a Nuclear Pharmacist, you will optimize pharmacy operations and procedures to ensure consistent and efficient delivery while controlling costs, minimizing waste, maximizing customer satisfaction and delivering positive patient outcomes. You'll be responsible for managing inventory, processing orders, compounding patient-specific doses of drugs, and directing a team of drivers to deliver medications after quality testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide pharmaceutical care including compounding of nuclear medications and quality testing through chromatography
- Assess and maintain pharmacy inventory, executing necessary orders to maintain optimal supply
- Lead processes for hiring pharmacy staff, onboarding, and performance management
- Manage and direct internal workflows of nuclear pharmacy, including staffing optimization
- Execute plans for lowering costs, increasing efficiency and driving profitable growth
- Maintain relationships with outside suppliers and vendors for demand planning
- Participate in administrative tasks and customer interactions
Experience Requirements
200+ hours academic training in nuclear pharmacy through accredited program, Authorized User certification preferred
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD preferred, valid Pharmacist license required
