About this role

As a Medical Affairs Scientist for Haleon's OTC portfolio, you will act as the medical category representative on ISC sub-category and project teams. You'll help shape and implement the medical strategy aligned with local and global business needs.

Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and communicating new published data, reviewing promotional and non-promotional materials for compliance, and providing medical support for R&D and category teams. You will also design, implement, and publish clinical studies to substantiate claims with robust evidence.

You'll be part of Haleon's purpose-driven culture, combining deep human understanding with trusted science to improve everyday health. Our portfolio includes leading brands like Sensodyne, Panadol, and Voltaren, and you'll collaborate across commercial, regulatory, and R&D functions.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, or equivalent) in pharmacy, life sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience in medical affairs within the pharmaceutical or consumer health industry.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical promotional codes and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, oversee, and publish clinical studies.
  • Strong scientific writing skills and experience authoring publications.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, marketing, and regulatory teams.
  • Proficiency in reviewing scientific literature and evidence-based medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as medical affairs category representative on ISC OTC sub-category and project teams.
  • Input to and implement the relevant sub-category medical strategy in line with local and global business needs.
  • Support the Head of Medical Affairs ISC in the implementation of the medical governance framework in India.
  • Identify and proactively communicate new published data in a timely fashion.
  • Review promotional and non-promotional material to ensure compliance with applicable Codes of Promotion.
  • Lead medical strategy and associated clinical development and claim support for India consumer healthcare products.
  • Design, implement, report, and publish clinical studies to support consumer healthcare products in accordance with procedures.
  • Develop local Medical Affairs SOPs and provide training on scientific engagement policies.
