CVS Health's Clinical Intervention Center (CIC) is seeking a dedicated Dispensing Pharmacist to provide 24x7 remote support services to long term care dispensing pharmacies nationwide. As a pharmacist for our Clinical Intervention Center, you will conduct comprehensive and accurate medication order reviews, clinical interventions, and documentation of all actions in accordance with policies and procedures. You'll be an integral member of the pharmacy team, working to foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify orders entered by technician staff for accuracy and ensure medication orders are clinically appropriate
- Provide accurate and timely drug information to providers and customer facilities
- Check for completeness and precision of all new and refill orders
- Demonstrate knowledge of DEA and state law regarding controlled drug dispensing
- Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage as needed by the business
- Follow all applicable state and government regulations including HIPAA
Experience Requirements
Current pharmacy license in good standing, proficiency in clinical interpretation including drug interactions and allergies
Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required, Doctor of Pharmacy preferred
