Join our dynamic pharmacy team at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center as a Charge Clinical Pharmacist on our overnight shift. This role offers the opportunity to lead pharmaceutical care operations while providing direct clinical services in a Level 1 trauma center environment.
As a Charge Clinical Pharmacist, you will oversee pharmaceutical care including medication therapy design, patient counseling, and clinical interventions. You'll collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize medication therapy regimens, participate in medical emergencies, and ensure safe medication practices throughout the facility. This position includes supervisory responsibilities for pharmacy support staff, precepting students and residents, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, monitor, and evaluate patient-specific pharmacotherapeutic regimens based on current evidence
- Provide comprehensive medication counseling to patients and caregivers
- Review and interpret medication orders and prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness
- Participate in medical emergency response and code team activities
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians, students, and residents
- Lead medication safety and quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and organizational policies
- Manage formulary adherence and coordinate specialty medication access
