About this role

The HEOR Intern - Real-World Evidence supports Precision leadership in streamlining internal processes to boost efficiency. This role involves investigating optimal research techniques, updating tools and documentation for best practices, and refining interactive tools using real-world evidence analyses. Interns contribute directly to pharmaceutical research and analytics.

Daily tasks include assisting with literature reviews on diverse healthcare topics and real-world evidence studies, from protocol development to data programming and results. Interns develop interactive summaries, interpret quantitative and qualitative findings, and communicate them to internal and external audiences. Administrative project support ensures smooth operations.

Work closely with leadership and teams on ongoing projects, participating in client-facing activities. Collaborate effectively both individually and as part of a team in a dynamic environment focused on public health and life sciences. Detail-oriented approach aids in maintaining high standards.

Gain hands-on experience contributing to reports, results tables, presentations, or peer-reviewed manuscripts. Build skills in epidemiologic concepts and statistical programming while sharing knowledge. This internship fosters growth in health economics and outcomes research within the pharmaceutical industry.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a public health (epidemiology, biostatistics, bioinformatics), economics, data science, life sciences, or healthcare related undergraduate, or preferably, graduate program
  • Proven interest in public health, life sciences, or pharmaceutical research and analytics
  • Research experience in epidemiology, public health, health services research, health policy, economics or related fields
  • Foundational knowledge of epidemiologic concepts such as observational study designs, measures of association, and common sources of bias and confounding
  • Familiarity/competency with statistical programming tool such as R, SQL, SAS or similar platform
  • Strong academic record
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team

  • Work directly with Precision leadership to improve processes and efficiency
  • Investigate optimal research techniques and implementation strategies
  • Update existing tools and documentation to increase adherence to best practices
  • Assist with literature reviews on diverse healthcare topics
  • Help with real-world evidence studies including protocol development, data programming, and results
  • Develop interactive summaries of real-world evidence analyses
  • Interpret and communicate quantitative and qualitative findings to internal and external audiences
  • Contribute to reports, results tables, presentations or peer-reviewed manuscripts
