About this role
This role manages multiple consulting projects of varying complexity, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery for clients in the life sciences field. The Associate Principal contributes to new business development and strengthens the client base while supporting the development of new offerings.
Day-to-day responsibilities include leading project teams to review and analyze client requirements, developing and costing proposals that ensure profitability and high client satisfaction. The role manages the proposal preparation process, develops project plans with timelines and deliverables, and leads projects to successful completion with limited senior management guidance.
The position serves as a key point of contact with clients, providing high-level input to client reports and presentations and delivering significant portions of findings. The Associate Principal proactively strengthens subject matter expertise through on-the-job experience, participation in conferences and symposiums, and other professional knowledge-sharing forums.
This role offers the opportunity to mentor and coach team members, sharing subject matter expertise to elevate the organization's capabilities in delivering world-class solutions. The position also involves identifying follow-on work and new leads to drive business growth within the life sciences consulting space.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
- 8-12 years of related experience including consulting and life sciences industry experience
- Demonstrates excellent project management skills and client influencing and relationship building skills
- In-depth understanding of IQVIA data assets and IQVIA core offerings
- Experienced with developing consultative relationships with senior level managers and executives at clients in the life sciences industry
- Ability to manage multiple projects, juggle priorities and deliver on tight deadlines
- Knowledge of consulting methodologies, tools and techniques related to functional area
- Knowledge of key issues and current developments in the life sciences industry
Responsibilities

- Leads teams to review and analyze client requirements or challenges and develops and costs associated proposals that ensure profitability and high client satisfaction
- Manages the process of proposal preparation and/or modifications including overall bid integrity
- Develops project plan with timelines and deliverables and leads project to successful completion, on-time and on-budget, from start to finish
- Serves as key point of contact with client and provides follow-up after project deliverables have been completed to ensure client satisfaction
- Provides high level input to, and ensures the development of, client reports and presentations and delivers all or significant portions of findings to client
- Develops and/or elevates new business opportunities through the identification of follow-on work and new leads
- Proactively mentors, coaches and shares subject matter expertise with others to elevate capabilities to deliver world-class solutions for clients
