Bruker Spatial Biology is a rapidly growing biotechnology company committed to providing cutting-edge Spatial Biology products and services to academic, biotech and biopharma sectors. We are seeking an entry-level Bioinformatician to join the R&D department and establish data analysis solutions for the CellScape platform.

The Bioinformatician will work with the team leader to perform CellScape data analyses supporting key customer collaborations and contract research projects. The role involves designing and maintaining bioinformatics tools for spatial proteomics and mIF data while interpreting large biological datasets.

You will join a team of dedicated scientists passionate about Spatial Biology and its potential to transform disease understanding and diagnosis. The position reports to the Senior Bioinformatician with no direct reports or wetlab responsibilities in a collaborative research environment.

Ownership of analysis projects is given from the start, with complex assignments requiring judgment and initiative. Diverse projects demand agility and flexibility to deliver timely results aligned with a dynamic customer base.

Requirements

  • Solid background in bioinformatics and image analysis
  • Understanding of Spatial Biology
  • Experience in microscopy and/or histology is desirable
  • Ability to solve complex problems requiring judgment and initiative
  • Agility and flexibility to handle diverse projects and changing directives

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain bioinformatics tools, libraries, and databases analyzing Spatial Proteomics and mIF data
  • Analyze and interpret large, complex biological datasets including spatial proteomics and single-cell data
  • Support discovery of new drugs, therapies, and biologically meaningful patterns
  • Evaluate, test, and improve existing internal software solutions
  • Partner with software teams during active development cycles
  • Perform CellScape data analyses for key customer collaborations and contract research projects
  • Work cross-functionally with wetlab and software teams to evaluate data from multiplex biomarker assays
