About this role

This Scientist III role is accountable for driving results in a fast-paced environment by performing analytical routine and non-routine testing in support of pharmaceutical product development or manufacturing. The position involves method development and validation projects using compendial and proprietary test methods.

Daily work includes performing titrations, UV, AA, IR, TOC, and particle size analysis, as well as HPLC, dissolution, and GC techniques. The scientist executes GMP review of solutions and wet chemical analyses, evaluates data for technical correctness, and writes test procedures, protocols, and reports.

This is a 100% on-site position on first shift, Monday through Friday, within a cGMP-regulated laboratory. The role requires safely handling potent compounds and assisting with hazardous waste removal per RCRA guidelines, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree with 16+ years, Bachelor’s with 6+ years, Master’s with 2+ years, or PhD with 0+ years of related experience.
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical, CDMO, or cGMP environment required.
  • Excellent detail orientation and organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and basic troubleshooting ability.
  • Expert knowledge of laboratory documentation.
  • Working knowledge of cGMP in a pharmaceutical or regulated environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop analytical methodology for analysis via titrations, UV, AA, IR, TOC, and particle size.
  • Perform GMP review of solutions and wet chemical analyses and chromatography.
  • Perform assays (potencies, related substances), dissolution, moisture content, identification, and other wet chemistry measurements.
  • Evaluate and interpret generated data for technical correctness and accuracy.
  • Write test procedures, protocols, and reports.
  • Solve problems of diverse scope requiring evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Safely handle potent compounds and assist with hazardous waste removal per RCRA guidelines.
  • Use laboratory software packages including Empower3, ProCal, Master Control, and ELN.
