The Analyst Consultant executes and supports analytic projects by analyzing complex healthcare and claims data, designing studies, and building predictive models. Responsibilities include translating results into clear insights that inform client strategy, developing reports and dashboards, and supporting health technology assessments. Analytical pipelines are maintained while ensuring data accuracy and timely project delivery.

Collaboration occurs with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, co-develop collection strategies, and maintain databases. The role thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, communicating complex methodologies in accessible terms to diverse audiences. Professional judgment is used to troubleshoot data anomalies and suboptimal solutions.

Opportunities exist to identify process improvements, build client relationships, and support team development and training. Staying current with industry trends and best practices in data analysis enhances contributions. Predictive models track health economics, outcomes research, ROI, and healthcare benefit models for client businesses.

Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience as a Data Analyst or Data Scientist in the health sector conducting statistical analysis on healthcare or claims data
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with structured query languages and statistical computing (e.g., R, SQL, Python, SAS)
  • Knowledge of healthcare/medical economics data such as hospital/physician claims
  • Experience leveraging real-world data for health economics and outcomes research models
  • Ability to design studies translating business questions into experiments with appropriate controls
  • Proficiency in building and maintaining analytical pipelines for claims data
  • Skills in developing reports and dashboards for health technology assessments

Responsibilities

  • Execute and support detailed project plans with clear guidance, task assignments, and required timelines
  • Leverage real-world data and statistical modeling to recommend, test, validate, and track health economics and outcomes research
  • Conduct hypothesis testing with robust understanding of non-random treatment assignment and control group selection
  • Analyze complex claims and healthcare data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights
  • Design and present reports, dashboards, tables, and figures communicating findings and strategy recommendations
  • Build predictive models to analyze potential outcomes and cost-savings for initiatives
  • Build and document analytical pipelines in SQL, Python, and R
  • Translate complex modeling and statistical analysis into layperson terms for diverse audiences
