About this role
Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for an Associate Director, Global Market Access Strategy, based in Raritan, NJ. This role is part of the Global Commercial Strategy Organization within Janssen Global Services, focused on developing and driving market access strategy for early-stage oncology assets.
In this position, you will support the Senior Compound Market Access Leader in maximizing value across the early pipeline and new business development opportunities. You will help shape key strategic decisions by contributing to Clinical Development and Evidence Generation Plans, ensuring they meet the needs of market access in key countries.
You will serve as a thought partner to leaders of global clinical and commercial product teams, as well as disease area strategy groups. The role involves directing cross-functional teams that include Health Economics, Patient Reported Outcomes, Access Policy, Pricing, and Real-World Evidence & Analytics to deliver a cohesive global market access strategy.
This is an opportunity to work on complex compounds and indications from early development through to dedicated product team appointment. You will help design and implement an integrated approach to the payer value proposition, supporting the development of optimal value strategies that align with global clinical and commercial goals.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of market access needs in key countries and ability to develop appropriate solutions.
- Experience supporting assets and indications ahead of full investment in dedicated product teams.
- Ability to contribute to Clinical Development and Evidence Generation Plans to meet market access requirements.
- Strong strategic thinking skills to shape key decisions for early pipeline assets.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including Health Economics, Patient Reported Outcomes, Access Policy, Pricing, and Real-World Evidence & Analytics.
- Proven ability to evaluate and provide strategic input into New Business Development opportunities.
- Knowledge of payer value proposition development from early development through product team appointment.
Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Compound Market Access Leader and CMALs to maximize value across the early pipeline and new business development opportunities.
- Evaluate and provide strategic input into New Business Development opportunities to maximize deal value and support decision making.
- Direct cross-functional teams (Health Economics, PRO, Access Policy, Pricing, Real-World Evidence & Analytics) to deliver the global market access strategy for the brand/asset.
- Help design, develop, and implement an integrated approach to all aspects of the payer value proposition from early development through to appointment of a dedicated product team.
- Support early strategic planning and implementation of payer value generation and access strategies.
- Serve as a resource on access strategies and act as a thought partner for leaders of global clinical and commercial product teams and disease area strategy groups.
- Support integration of pricing, payer research, health economic, and epidemiology information to develop the optimal value strategy.
- Support development of an integrated access strategy that aligns with global clinical and commercial strategy.
