About this role
This field-based role is part of our Diabetes Care division in Belgium and Luxembourg. As Senior Manager Market Access, you will play a pivotal strategic role in shaping and executing market access strategies across the region. You will act as a trusted partner to the business, driving sustainable market share growth.
You will lead high-stakes negotiations with public and private payers, hospitals, and pharmacy networks. You will oversee the BELUX Contracts & Tenders desk, ensuring high-quality and timely submissions. Additionally, you will represent BELUX in EMEA tender taskforces and cross-country initiatives.
You will lead, coach, and develop Market Access and Contract Management teams, fostering performance and engagement. You will build and leverage strong relationships with key external stakeholders and decision makers. This senior leadership role combines strategy, negotiation, people leadership, and external influence with strong visibility at local and EMEA level.
You will contribute actively to the BELUX Vision and Strategic Business Plan, identifying new business opportunities and assessing ROI. You will act as an internal "management consultant", leading strategic commercial projects across functions. This role offers a high-impact leadership position at the intersection of strategy and market access.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 7 years in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry.
- At least 5 years in Market Access, Reimbursement or Business Development.
- Solid understanding of sales, marketing and commercial excellence.
- Strong understanding of pricing, reimbursement and payer systems.
- Excellent negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English and French or Dutch (written and spoken).
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on, results-driven mindset.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute long-term Market Access, Contracts & Tenders strategies for Belgium and Luxembourg.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the management team on reimbursement, payer strategy and public policy.
- Lead high-stakes negotiations with public and private payers, hospitals, pharmacy networks and purchasing groups.
- Drive innovative and financial contracting models to secure access and growth.
- Oversee the BELUX Contracts & Tenders desk, ensuring high-quality and timely submissions.
- Represent BELUX in EMEA tender taskforces and cross-country initiatives.
- Lead, coach and develop Market Access and Contract Management teams, fostering performance and engagement.
- Build and leverage strong relationships with key external stakeholders and decision makers.
