In the US, 1.6 million people have diabetic foot infections with higher amputation risks, and post-amputation survival is limited. Biocomposites is investing in R&D with a phase III clinical study for a new drug to transform diabetic foot osteomyelitis treatment. A team is assembling to launch this drug into the US healthcare market.
The Director of Market Access plays a mission-critical role in shaping and executing all U.S. market access activities for successful launch and post-launch uptake. This includes coding, reimbursement, payer strategy, evidence integration and national payer engagement. The role aligns with Marketing, Medical, Sales and field teams.

Requirements
- 8+ years of pharmaceutical U.S. Market Access experience including pre-launch
- Strong coding, reimbursement, payer strategy expertise
- Proven track record in leading reimbursement activities for new drug launch, including J-code/NTAP/TPT submissions
- Experience leading reimbursement activities in hospital and ASC/outpatient environments
- Experience in specialty therapeutics, biologics, or hospital-administered products
- Exceptional communication, analytical and negotiation skills
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Evaluate coding pathways (CPT/HCPCS/ICD10-PCS) and secure new codes if needed
- Map reimbursement pathways, identify friction points, and secure reimbursement codes (NTAP/TPT/J-code)
- Develop U.S. market access launch blueprint including pricing, contracting, coding, payer engagement, and evidence requirements
- Conduct payer landscape analysis and build payer value proposition framework
- Define payer-relevant evidence needs with HEOR and Medical Affairs, influencing clinical trial design
- Conduct pre-approval engagements with national payers, GPOs and IDNs, and lead payer advisory boards
- Provide inputs for launch plan and pricing scenarios using claims and analog data
- Align payer insights with Marketing, Medical, Sales, and prepare field teams for reimbursement discussions
