As (Senior) Medical Affairs Manager Vaccines, you assume a key role in the medical-scientific design and implementation of strategy focused on the Herpes zoster vaccine.

You represent GSK as a credible scientific voice externally and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams and internal stakeholders. You bring medical and scientific expertise to shape the strategic direction of the Herpes zoster vaccine. This involves working with MSLs, Commercial, Data Generation, Market Access, and global interfaces.

Requirements

  • Completed university degree in natural sciences or medicine (e.g., Medicine, Pharmacy, or Natural Sciences), preferably with PhD
  • Several years of professional experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Development or similar in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in Immunology, Infectiology, or Vaccines
  • Excellent knowledge in interpretation and communication of clinical data
  • Scientific expertise and comprehensive product knowledge in the therapy area, plus solid understanding of the German healthcare system
  • Fluent German and English skills in spoken and written form
  • Strong ability to communicate complex medical content in a target-group oriented, clear, and convincing manner
  • Confident handling of digital and AI tools, data sources, and omnichannel approaches
  • Strategic thinking, high initiative, and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical responsibility for the Herpes zoster vaccine, including co-designing the medical strategy, planning, and implementation
  • Lead the integrated Business and Medical planning as well as overarching strategic initiatives
  • Conduct medical-scientific review and approval of materials considering regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Plan, conduct, and design content for advisory boards and medical education activities such as congress symposia
  • Support evidence generation, including interpretation of clinical and disease burden studies and integration of Real World Evidence (RWE)
  • Continuously evaluate relevant literature, guidelines (e.g., STIKO), and scientific developments in Herpes zoster and vaccination prevention
