About this role

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a non-promotional field-based medical role responsible for conducting medical engagements that ensure the safe and effective use of GSK’s medicines while generating medical insights. MSLs drive EEs/HCPs education journeys using the Sc/AUBB+ tool. They provide support to GSK clinical development and Key Evidence Generation programs.

Day-to-day involves providing product and disease area information through direct scientific interactions with external experts and healthcare professionals. MSLs gather insights from external interactions to assist in developing and executing innovative Medical Affairs strategies. Activities remain fair, balanced, scientific, and evidence-based.

Conduct proactive/reactive discussions, support advisory boards, scientific workshops, and attend congresses. Capture insights using GSK tools while assessing KPIs and their impact on therapeutic area objectives. Engage with EE, payers, government, and formularies to inform decisions and support patient access.

Identify evidence gaps, propose EG initiatives, and collaborate on local publications. Ensure compliance with GSK policies, Saudi FDA regulations, and local codes. GSK supports Vision 2030, Saudization, and development of Saudi National capability.

Requirements

  • Field-based scientific expertise in respiratory therapeutic area, clinical practice, and competitor landscape
  • Ability to conduct fair, balanced, scientific, and evidence-based medical engagements
  • Proficiency in using GSK tools like Sc/AUBB+ for HCP education journeys
  • Knowledge of medical governance, on-label communications, and off-label query documentation
  • Experience supporting clinical development, evidence generation, and R&D activities
  • Familiarity with compliance to pharmaceutical codes, Saudi FDA regulations, and local laws

Responsibilities

  • Provide product and disease area information to external experts through scientific interactions

  • Capture insights using GSK tools and assess related KPIs for therapeutic area objectives
  • Deliver Medical Education programs and map evidence gaps for generation plans
  • Scale EE Sc/AUBB+ levels and update TA-related guidelines for HCPs
  • Identify local evidence gaps and support EG initiatives and R&D projects
  • Ensure on-label communications and compliance with GSK policies and Saudi FDA regulations
