At Alcon, you will be driven by meaningful work to help people see brilliantly. As a Glaucoma Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist, you will cover a large territory in Manhattan South, NY, focusing on a defined target list of physicians and practitioners.

Your typical day includes building disease awareness with key partners and collaborating on prior authorization and reimbursement challenges. You will manage the sales budget, grow sales through impactful territory plans, and engage in compliant, medically relevant programs to drive customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.).
  • 2 years of proven experience in sales or related field.
  • Ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
  • Experience in sales account management preferred.
  • Health care industry experience preferred, especially in eye care pharmaceutical or medical device field.
  • High-energy, self-starter as well as collaborative team player.
  • Result oriented with strong drive to make it happen.
  • Willingness to challenge status quo.

Responsibilities

  • Build disease awareness with key partners and validate understanding of treatment initiation processes and patient identification.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners on prior authorization, payor restrictions, reimbursement stipulations, and patient referrals to support patient access.
  • Manage the sales budget and grow sales across the territory through development of impactful territory plans and engaging communications.
  • Employ business planning and local market knowledge to develop sales and customer networks.
  • Grow relationships and communications with all partners and communities to understand treatment algorithms and business dynamics within accounts.
  • Implement compliant and medically relevant programs to effect significant customer satisfaction and sales.
  • Cover and visit all customers in the area of responsibility according to their importance and potential.
  • Participate in and conduct meetings and events such as congresses, round tables, and trainings.
