The Bilingual Reimbursement Specialist supports patients in McKesson Specialty programs, coordinating reimbursement and treatment access with patients, insurers, pharmacies, physicians, and health professionals.

You will manage patient cases end-to-end, verify insurance coverage, facilitate financial aid access, and ensure timely therapy availability. This role thrives in a dynamic, patient-focused environment prioritizing rigor, communication, and patient advocacy.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, insurance, or patient support environment
  • Bilingual French-English (spoken and written) – required
  • Experience in patient support programs, specialty pharmacy, or pharmaceutical reimbursement
  • Prior experience with public and private insurers in Canada

Responsibilities

  • Enroll patients into McKesson Specialty patient support programs quickly and accurately
  • Manage reimbursement cases from initial receipt to treatment access
  • Proactively follow up on patient cases to ensure timely renewals and continuous coverage
  • Communicate with patients, public/private insurers, and prescribers to obtain reimbursement documentation
  • Perform financial assessments to determine patient eligibility for aid programs
  • Explore coverage options and escalate to employers or payers as needed
  • Collaborate with specialty and retail pharmacies to ensure rapid medication access
  • Handle incoming/outgoing patient and stakeholder requests via phone, email, and fax
