About this role

The Medical Affairs Scientist serves as the medical and scientific representative for healthcare professionals, medical societies, regulators, academia, and external stakeholders. Maintains the highest scientific standards, independence, and compliance in all activities. Delivers high-level medical expertise and supports product strategies in internal medicine, focusing on migraine.

Develops and executes Key Opinion Leader engagement plans while conducting compliant medical-to-medical communications. Organizes medical education events, responds to unsolicited medical information requests, and participates in scientific meetings and advisory boards. Collects medical insights and identifies unmet needs from HCP interactions across Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Provides medical training to the field force using approved data and enhances their scientific knowledge in relevant therapeutic areas. Supports Therapeutic Area strategies, reviews promotional materials for accuracy, and offers input on marketing plans and external activities. Ensures medical integrity while advancing business objectives in a collaborative Medical Affairs environment.

Engages with opinion leaders and scientific organizations to foster partnerships and share regulatory updates. Contributes to Investigator-Sponsored Research projects and medical publications. Role models medical leadership, promoting teamwork within the department for two markets: Czech Republic (80% FTE) and Slovakia (20% FTE), based in Czech Republic.

Requirements

  • Medical or scientific expertise in internal medicine and migraine therapeutic areas
  • Experience in compliant medical-to-medical communications with HCPs and KOLs
  • Ability to develop and execute KOL engagement plans
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and updates in pharmaceutical industry
  • Proficiency in delivering scientific presentations and medical training
  • Familiarity with Investigator-Sponsored Research (ISR) processes
  • Skills in reviewing promotional materials for medical accuracy
  • Capability to collect and share medical insights from external interactions

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement plans and maintains compliant medical-to-medical interactions
  • Provides internal and external medical expertise related to assigned products and therapeutic areas
  • Organizes and prepares medical education events for the scientific community in alignment with strategy and compliance
  • Identifies medical training needs and delivers training to sales representatives using approved data
  • Supports definition of Therapeutic Area and Category strategies for assigned products
  • Reviews and approves promotional materials and labeling for medical accuracy and compliance
  • Collects medical insights and identifies unmet medical needs from HCP interactions
  • Supports scientific projects in accordance with the Investigator-Sponsored Research (ISR) Policy
