We are recruiting for a Process Engineer to join our Process Engineering Team at the Braunton manufacturing site. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing processes for pharmaceutical oral solid dose products to ensure efficient, safe, and compliant operations.

You will act as a Process Subject Matter Expert, achieving and maintaining expert knowledge of processes and equipment in a specific manufacturing area. Identify opportunities for process optimisation, design changes, and conduct engineering change management to assess impacts. Oversee implementation while contributing to preliminary financial analysis to prioritize beneficial improvements.

Collaborate with Maintenance, Production, Quality, and Capital Project teams to support production equipment and systems. Ensure processes meet EHS, Quality, and regulatory requirements through assessments and corrective actions. Investigate and troubleshoot production issues to maintain smooth operations.

Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste in a complex pharmaceutical environment. Requirements

  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in a Process Engineering related role within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in an oral solid dose pharmaceutical manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience with process optimisation
  • Experience writing technical reports
  • Technical capability, ingenuity and drive to implement process improvements

Responsibilities

  • Achieve and maintain expert process and equipment knowledge within a specific area of manufacturing
  • Identify opportunities for process optimisation
  • Design process changes to realise the identified opportunities
  • Conduct engineering change management activities to assess proposed process changes
  • Contribute to preliminary financial analysis of improvements to quantify benefit
  • Ensure processes meet EHS, Quality and other regulatory requirements
  • Investigate and troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions
  • Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
