About this role
Responsible for collaborating and working in a team environment of 6-10 manufacturing production technicians. Perform operations with focus on efficiency, training, and project work to accomplish manufacturing objectives. This position supports the North American Nuclear Medicine Business consisting of 30+ nuclear pharmacies and hospital customers.
Our Pharmaceutical Diagnostics business is the number one global supplier of contrast media and molecular imaging agents used to enhance medical imaging exams. Products support diagnostic and treatment pathways across major disease areas, aiding three patients every second worldwide. Manufacturing involves radio-chemicals, radiopharmaceuticals, and radioactive devices.
Day-to-day tasks include processing, assembling, dispensing, assaying, and packaging products per established procedures. Prepare equipment and materials, complete batch records accurately, and maintain strict adherence to cGMP. Comply with EHS, Health Physics, QSRs, and PPE requirements while performing housekeeping per 5S policy.
Assist in training other technicians and troubleshooting basic equipment issues with the Lead Technician. Perform preventative maintenance, initiate work orders, and document using Quality Management and Electronic Document Management Systems. Opportunity to develop through gown qualifications for controlled areas and project contributions.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree plus minimum 1 year experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, equipment operator, material handling, food processing, warehousing, or logistics/distribution
- High School diploma/GED plus minimum 2 years experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, equipment operator, material handling, food processing, warehousing, or logistics/distribution
- Bachelor's Degree - No Manufacturing Experience Required
- Strong mathematical aptitude including Algebra
- Strong computer skills with ability to learn new applications
- Must perform shift/weekend work
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs. or more
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship)
Responsibilities
- Process, assemble, dispense, assay, and package radio-chemicals, radiopharmaceuticals, or radioactive devices in accordance with established procedures
- Assist in training and development of other technicians
- Accurately review and complete all batch records and related documentation
- Prepare and set-up associated equipment and materials
- Comply with all applicable EHS, Health Physics, QSR’s, and PPE requirements
- Perform housekeeping in accordance with 5S policy
- Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) as required
- Troubleshoot basic equipment problems by communicating with the Lead Technician
