About this role
Myriad Genetics is seeking an experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to support the Somatic / Tumor Genomics portfolio. This field-based, scientifically focused role supports liquid and tumor profiling across solid tumors, including MRD testing, NGS-based assays, biomarker-driven therapy selection, resistance mechanisms, and treatment monitoring.
The MSL will engage with medical oncologists, gynecologic oncologists, surgeons, molecular pathologists, and urologists across academic centers and community oncology practices. This individual will serve as a conduit of clinical expertise, scientific exchange, and insights that inform medical strategy.
This position reports to the Director of Medical Affairs, Somatic, and partners closely with Medical Affairs colleagues, product, R&D, clinical operations, marketing, commercial teams, and cross-functional leadership.
Multiple positions available across the U.S. Territory size and geography may vary and will be assigned based on evolving business needs and the location of the selected candidate. Opportunities include attending national and regional medical conferences for scientific engagement.
Requirements
- Previous MSL experience required
- Deep knowledge of somatic and tumor genomics portfolio, including liquid and tumor profiling
- Expertise in biomarkers, targeted therapies, immuno-oncology, tumor biology, and NGS-based testing
- Familiarity with NCCN, ASCO, ESMO guidelines and precision oncology standards
- Experience engaging medical oncologists, gynecologic oncologists, surgeons, molecular pathologists, and urologists
- Ability to build relationships with oncology and molecular pathology KOLs
- Strong understanding of solid tumor profiling, MRD testing, and treatment monitoring
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of Myriad’s liquid and tumor profiling portfolio, including biomarkers, targeted therapies, immuno-oncology, therapy selection pathways, tumor biology, and NGS-based testing
- Stay current on emerging clinical data, guidelines (NCCN, ASCO, ESMO), competitive trends, and evolving precision oncology treatment standards
- Attend and represent Myriad at national and regional medical conferences for scientific engagement and insight reporting
- Build and maintain relationships with regional and national KOLs in oncology, molecular pathology, and related specialties
- Contribute to the Somatic Medical Affairs team through collaboration, best-practice sharing, and training
- Engage with oncology specialists to provide clinical expertise and gather insights for medical strategy
- Support scientific exchange on somatic genomics, tumor profiling, and precision oncology applications
