Hims & Hers seeks a Quality Assurance Operations Associate reporting to the Sr. Manager Quality Assurance, responsible for creating and implementing QA standards for products. Located in the Gilbert, Arizona facility, the role focuses on driving continuous improvement efforts that benefit customers. Support will be provided to Operations while working with external manufacturers and suppliers to ensure products meet standards.

The position involves monitoring compounding floor activities for adherence to protocols, policies, procedures, and regulations. Collaboration occurs with quality, operations, and pharmacy teams during troubleshooting and process optimization. External manufacturer investigations and supplier audits are key aspects of the daily environment.

Opportunities include supporting the execution of a Corporate Quality Management System software and building an SOP library for core quality processes. Expert guidance is provided for product launches in areas like testing, documentation, and regulatory compliance. Continuous improvement through CAPAs, audits, and supplier verification fosters growth in pharmaceutical quality assurance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a Life Science, Chemistry or related discipline preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the pharmacy industry
  • Pharmacy technician experience
  • Familiarity with process deviations, CAPAs, and non-conformance investigations
  • Knowledge of compounding pharmacy protocols and regulations
  • Experience with quality audits and supplier verification
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing standards and warehousing principles

Responsibilities

  • Participate in investigations for process deviations and product quality failures and assist in the implementation of corrective actions
  • Collect, document, and prepare samples for shipment for testing
  • Monitor all activity on the compounding floor to assure adherence to company protocols, policies, procedures, and applicable regulations
  • Manage inspections of goods as well as segregation and quarantine of defective items until disposition is determined
  • Support external manufacturer non-conformance investigations and issue SCARs to improve quality processes
  • Provide support to quality, operations, and pharmacy teams when involved in troubleshooting and process optimization
  • Support the execution and implementation of a Corporate Quality Management System (QMS) software
  • Schedule and perform quality audits of compounding pharmacies and raw material vendors
