The Manufacturing Technician I is accountable for results in a fast-paced environment, assisting with manufacturing drug products for commercial distribution and clinical trials. Follows SOPs and batch records in accordance with cGMPs while employing acceptable techniques including PPE gowning.

Assists with operation of manufacturing processing equipment and material handling tools per standard procedures. Performs in-process testing, weight checks, component counting, and basic math calculations. Documents activities in real time on controlled documentation legibly and accurately.

This 100% on-site role operates on 3rd shift Sunday through Thursday from 11:00pm to 7:30am. Works collaboratively to support other manufacturing areas as required. May involve occasional hours outside scheduled shift based on business needs, including weekends.

Supports manufacturing technologies for sterile liquids including equipment preparation, sterilization, compounding, aseptic filling, and capping. Up to 5% domestic travel expected. Physical demands include standing, walking, handling materials, and working in manufacturing environments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred
  • 1+ years of GMP and prior pharmaceutical work experience required or BioWork certification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills
  • Excellent detail orientation and organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and basic troubleshooting ability
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations
  • Ability to read and comprehend detailed written instructions
  • Proficiency in basic computing skills

Responsibilities

  • Follow applicable SOPs and cGMPs to perform assigned duties and tasks
  • Ensure timely completion and compliance with cGMP and company training requirements
  • Assist with manufacturing techniques and technologies per SOPs and cGMPs
  • Operate manufacturing and material handling equipment
  • Document activities in real time on controlled documentation legibly
  • Perform in-process testing, weight checks, component counting, and basic math calculations
  • Perform cleaning of rooms, tools, and equipment
  • Assist with other manufacturing areas as required
