Within the MSAT (Manufacturing Science and Technology) team, you handle industrial tech transfer and scale-up for new molecules in cell culture production (USP) and purification (DSP) of monoclonal antibodies (Mab). You deliver technical and scientific support to Production teams. This role fosters continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Day-to-day involves ensuring technical feasibility of process transfers to production, covering robustness, timelines, costs, safety, and regulatory aspects. Define material and consumable needs for production batches. Provide expertise during new process transfers and routine manufacturing.

Collaborate closely with workshop manufacturing teams to support batches, such as introducing new technologies or processes. Offer technical support in deviations or challenges. Work in a pharmaceutical environment focused on monoclonal antibody production.

Requirements

  • Expertise in bioprocess technology transfer for monoclonal antibodies
  • Knowledge of upstream processing (USP) in cell culture production
  • Knowledge of downstream processing (DSP) in purification
  • Experience ensuring process robustness, safety, and regulatory compliance
  • Familiarity with GMP requirements for pharmaceutical manufacturing
  • Technical skills in scale-up and industrial process integration
  • Ability to define material and consumable requirements for batches
  • Scientific background in manufacturing science and technology (MSAT)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure technical and organizational feasibility of process transfer to production, guaranteeing robustness, timelines, cost, safety, regulatory, and documentary aspects
  • Define needs for materials and consumables to produce a production batch
  • Provide scientific and technical expertise during technology transfer of new processes and routine manufacturing
  • Maintain close collaboration with manufacturing teams in the workshop to support batches
  • Support introduction of new technologies or processes in production
  • Offer technical support for production lots in case of deviations or issues
  • Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence in MSAT
  • Facilitate scale-up for new monoclonal antibody molecules in USP and DSP
