About this role

Innophos is hiring a Quality Assurance Documentation Specialist - Supplier Quality at its North Salt Lake, UT manufacturing location. This role assists in developing, facilitating, and continually improving Supplier Quality (SQ) Documentation Processes. It focuses on supplier documentation requirements from a quality or regulatory standpoint.

Day-to-day involves managing SQ documentation requests, ensuring supplier quality documentation like questionnaires is completed within timelines. Responsibilities include assessing quality statements, plant profiles, ingredient and allergen statements. The specialist creates and maintains supplier and material records in the Supplier Management system.

Work closely with departments such as Purchasing, Regulatory, and Tech Services to maintain and prioritize the supplier request queue. Technically assess information from raw material suppliers and manufacturing sites. Collaborate to improve awareness of timely supplier information provision across functions.

Continually improve processes and systems for faster responses to timelines and new business needs. Research quality and regulatory standards as needed. Assist in preparing and maintaining KPIs to measure program efficiency, supporting phosphate and nutrition businesses.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in Quality functions, preferred in Dietary supplement or Food companies
  • Familiar with GFSI or NSF QA Standards and Auditing systems
  • Knowledge of FSMA requirements
  • Overall knowledge of US FDA regulations 21 CFR 111 and/or 21 CFR 117
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel for trend analysis, charts, and reports
  • Well organized with attention to detail to build summaries and overall pictures
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage SQ documentation requests, ensuring supplier quality documentation is completed within required timelines
  • Assess quality and regulatory statements, plant/product profiles, ingredient statements, and allergen statements
  • Create and maintain supplier and material records within the Supplier Management system
  • Maintain and prioritize the supplier request queue, working with Purchasing, Regulatory, Tech Services, and others
  • Create quality-related processes, templates, supporting forms, and SOPs for phosphate and nutrition businesses
  • Technically assess and analyze information from raw material suppliers and manufacturing sites
  • Continually improve processes and systems within the group and across functions
  • Research quality and regulatory standards and assist with preparing KPIs for program efficiency
