We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director, Preclinical Research, EP in Irvine, CA. This leader will oversee preclinical evidence generation to ensure patient safety, product efficacy, and competitive positioning of electrophysiology products. Collaborate closely with cross-functional and external partners to deliver a state-of-the-art preclinical study program.

Serve as a key member of the Scientific Affairs leadership team. Leverage research, device expertise, and partnering capabilities to define and guide the scientific vision for MedTech EP. Partner with multi-functional evidence teams including Medical, Clinical, Health Economics, and R&D project teams.

Join the Cardiovascular team reimagining solutions for heart recovery, electrophysiology, and stroke. Requirements

  • Dynamic and experienced leader in preclinical research for electrophysiology products
  • Expertise in generating preclinical evidence for patient safety and product efficacy
  • Strong research background and medical device knowledge
  • Proven ability to partner with cross-functional teams including Medical, Clinical, Health Economics, and R&D
  • Device development experience in cardiovascular or electrophysiology
  • Skills in regulatory strategies to minimize risks to product approvals
  • Leadership in scientific affairs and evidence generation
  • Capabilities in talent development for preclinical teams

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and implementation of robust preclinical plans and evidence-based strategies for EP projects that ensure patient safety, minimize risk to product approvals and increase product adoption
  • Drive execution excellence of the preclinical evidence package and support the dissemination of results
  • Lead the preclinical study program to actively support the EP business
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners and external partners
  • Serve as a key member of the Scientific Affairs leadership team
  • Leverage research and device expertise to define, guide, and support the scientific vision and strategy for MedTech EP
  • Focus on talent development and team effectiveness
  • Hold overall responsibility for MedTech EP’s preclinical evidence organization focused on innovation and patient safety
