About this role
Valo Health is a human-centric, AI-enabled biotechnology company working to make new drugs for patients faster using the Opal Computational Platform. This combines real-world data, AI, human translational models, and predictive chemistry. The Scientist II will play a pivotal role in wet-lab target validation and assay development for neurodegenerative disease targets, initially focusing on Parkinson’s disease.
The role supports drug discovery goals including compound and biological mechanism of action studies plus cellular efficacy models. As a key bench scientist, execute experiments to deliver validation data packages with high reliability, efficiency, and accuracy. Present results to internal and external stakeholders to inform key decisions on Valo targets.
Work cross-functionally with subject matter experts, computational scientists, and engineers in a team-based environment. Bring forward novel and creative solutions to target validation using human data insights. Develop assays to characterize and address specific questions related to drug development of selected targets.
Valo is committed to hiring diverse talent, prioritizing growth and development, and fostering an inclusive environment. Embrace new ways of learning, solve complex problems, and welcome diverse perspectives. Advance patient-centric innovation through collaborative efforts.
