About this role

AstraZeneca has invested heavily in our strategic synthetic drug modality IT platform to deliver better, differentiated candidate drugs into trials faster, expediting benefits for patients. We seek an exceptional Product Director to join our platform leadership team. This role combines deep domain expertise in chemistry and cheminformatics with product leadership.

As Product Lead within Augmented Design Make Test Analyse (A-DMTA), translate R&D scientific needs into valuable technology solutions. Line-manage multi-disciplinary teams and drive adoption of novel AI and agentic approaches to drug discovery. Work alongside R&D scientists and software engineers.

In Early Science, highly skilled scientists generate ideas and perform experiments supporting complex drug discovery projects. The environment is driven by scientific and technical innovation with diversity in workflows, data, vendor solutions, and in-house builds. This creates an ecosystem for operational and experimental data capture.

Evolve and build out a unified scientific data and AI platform compatible with state-of-the-art algorithms and agentic approaches. Accelerate scientists' ability to produce innovative and novel medicines. Develop analytics, AI, and ML services for traditional small molecules and complex modalities.
