We seek a motivated Senior Scientist for our Medicinal Chemistry team to synthesize ligands or nucleoside monomers. Incorporate them into therapeutic oligonucleotides and perform bioconjugation to ligands targeting cell surface receptors. This role contributes directly to breakthrough therapies.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Organic or Nucleic Acid Chemistry with at least 2 years of post-doctoral experience in academia or industry
  • Experience in nucleoside/oligonucleotide synthesis and purification
  • Experience with purification techniques (e.g., ion exchange, reverse-phase, and size-exclusion chromatography)
  • Experience with automated lab equipment (e.g., NMR, LC-MS)
  • Track record of scientific productivity as evidenced by high quality publications and/or patents
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a team environment
  • Ability to be productive in a fast-paced, interactive, and innovative work environment

Responsibilities

  • Synthesize ligands or nucleoside monomers
  • Incorporate ligands or nucleoside monomers into therapeutic oligonucleotides
  • Perform bioconjugation of oligonucleotides to ligands targeting cell surface receptors
  • Purify nucleosides or oligonucleotides using ion exchange, reverse-phase, and size-exclusion chromatography
  • Characterize compounds with automated lab equipment such as NMR and LC-MS
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on research and development
  • Contribute to innovation in RNA-targeted therapies
