About this role
In a context of growing demand for accessible healthcare services and increased innovation requirements in medical devices, Health Economics & Market Access (HEMA) functions play a key strategic role. The Real-World Evidence (RWE) HEMA Alternant joins the RWE EMEA team within Boston Scientific's HEMA EMEA department. They contribute to RWE projects leveraging knowledge of health systems and data, technical, analytical, and research skills aligned with divisional and regional priorities.
The role includes developing and using health data analysis tools across the Boston Scientific portfolio and therapeutic areas. This encompasses epidemiological analyses, target population definitions, descriptive analyses, health economic models, dashboards, and internal tools for HEMA and commercial teams. These efforts support strategic decision-making in real-world evidence generation.
Day-to-day work involves collaboration with the RWE team on local and EMEA-level projects. Responsibilities include data analysis, monitoring, and valorization through regular reportings, ad hoc analyses, and economic models. The alternant identifies key organizational trends using specialized analytical tools.
Missions focus on querying, analyzing, and interpreting health data, alongside financial analyses and model adaptations to assess impacts on health system actors like providers and payers. Tool development includes data cubes and dashboards, with preparation of syntheses, deliverables, and presentations. This position builds expertise in EMEA health economics within a dynamic pharmaceutical environment.
Requirements
- Ongoing studies in health economics, public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, health systems management, information technology or related field
- Good knowledge of the health sector, particularly reimbursement rules and methodologies in hospital and outpatient settings
- Excellent analytical skills, including mastery of query tools, data analysis, and synthesis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (pivot tables, filtering, and VLOOKUPs)
- Ability to develop tools, dashboards, and reports from health data
- Knowledge of statistical methods appreciated
- Native French speaker with good English proficiency (minimum B2 level)
- Proactive, engaged with strong team spirit
Responsibilities
- Contribute to local and EMEA RWE projects by analyzing, monitoring, and valorizing data via regular reportings, ad hoc analyses, economic models, and tools to identify key trends
- Utilize queries to analyze and interpret health data
- Perform financial analyses and prepare or adapt models to evaluate impact of interventions and technologies on health system actors (establishments and payers)
- Develop and maintain analytical tools, data cubes, and dashboards
- Prepare syntheses and analytical deliverables
- Contribute to preparation of internal presentations and/or those for clients
