Atlanta, US · Full-time · $150,000 – $210,000

About this role

Hexagon Lavish® is an antiartificial scientific R&D startup in Atlanta with an opening for a full-time/permanent Senior Staff Research Scientist II position. The Informational Bioinformatics Researcher will direct engaging focus in conducting distinction aspects of informational interpretation software. This role requires honing skills in re-defining scientific research and assisting the Chief Science Officer.

The candidate will provide bioinformatics development for the PIR software and essential PIR categories of informational interpretation scientific software. Responsibilities include aligning PIR research with derived understanding of detecting allergenic substances via the PIR application. Leading bioinformatic-research for distinction functionality in the PIR mobile application is key.

Close collaboration occurs with other research scientists on the PIR (Premier Information Retrieval) research project. The role involves working in computational biology with focus on designing software for ecosystems and sequence alignment. Familiarity with Wright-Fisher model, Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium, Neutral model, and blossom scoring matrix is essential.

Advanced knowledge of sequence data generation and analysis is required, along with extensive coding in R, Python, Java, and SQL. Experience with large multi-dimensional data sets and genetic statistics analytical methods supports the role. The position offers opportunity to identify, propose, and develop new technology and methodology in bioinformatics research.
