As a Senior Scientist, actively contribute to programs in the Oncology Targeted Discovery chemistry group. This role deploys expert-level synthetic organic chemistry skills in designing and building complex molecules, both small and non-small, including small molecules, peptides and antibody drug conjugates to treat cancer.

Work together with various disciplines in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment across internal and external partners. Acquire world-class medicinal chemistry skills while contributing to a thriving portfolio of future cancer medicines covering a wide range of modalities. Support development and adoption of machine-learning/AI tools and emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • Strong organic synthesis background
  • Expert-level synthetic organic chemistry skills for designing and building complex molecules
  • Ability to interpret SAR using quantitative and hypothesis-driven approaches
  • Experience with small molecules, peptides and antibody drug conjugates
  • Proficiency in separation, purification and analysis of chemical matter using validated lab techniques
  • Collaborative mindset for multidisciplinary research across partners
  • Enthusiasm for deploying machine-learning/AI tools in research

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute multi-step modular routes compatible for rapid access to small molecule targets
  • Routinely separate, purify and analyze chemical matter, both small and non-small, using validated techniques and protocols
  • Employ quantitative and hypothesis-driven approaches to experimentation, including ability to interpret SAR
  • Conduct research by deploying machine-learning/AI tools in a seamlessly interactive manner
  • Demonstrate a collaborative team player mindset and enthusiasm for multidisciplinary research in a fast-paced environment across various internal/external partners
  • Participate in writing and submission of patent applications, peer-reviewed articles, and abstracts for scientific conferences
  • Ensure appropriate safety, health & environmental standards
