About this role

Skin + Me is a mission driven start-up with seriously big skin goals. We're looking for an experienced pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Team for a full time night shift role at our production facility. As the Night-Shift Pharmacist, you will act as the Responsible Pharmacist overseeing production and dispensing of personalised prescription creams at our registered pharmacy site.

You will ensure regulatory compliance of all operational activities, deliver batch quality control, and approve prescriptions from clinical and legal standpoints. Take an active role in maintaining and developing the Pharmaceutical Quality Management System to ensure continuous compliance. Have a hands-on approach to quality and batch control analysis while working autonomously.

This pivotal role has strong ties to the Prescribing, Operations, Engineering and Customer Service teams. Uphold regulatory standards and act as the responsible pharmacist to meet pharmacy licence commitments. Work with the team to continuously improve safety, efficiency and quality of the facility.

Requirements

  • Qualified pharmacist registered with the GPhC
  • Detailed knowledge of pharmacy regulatory standards, laws and ethics
  • Natural high achiever, motivated, enthusiastic and meticulous
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical science or committed desire to learn
  • Experience in a compounding pharmacy or the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience with cosmetics or dermatology products

Responsibilities

  • Maintain clinical governance and regulatory compliance of the pharmacy
  • Ensure all members of staff adhere to the Quality System and Policies for Information and Clinical Governance
  • Perform batch release processes by reviewing all batch data ensuring highest quality standards
  • Design and maintain SOP’s for all pharmacy activities ensuring compliance with relevant bodies
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits to ensure continuous compliance with legal and regulatory standards
  • Report any suspected falsified medicines to the MHRA and any deviations, complaints or raw material issues
  • Own incident reporting and process improvement to uphold quality standards
  • Ensure all staff are trained appropriately for activities carried out
