In this vital onsite laboratory role, work within Amgen’s Induced Proximity Platform focused on novel PROTAC approaches to modulate intractable targets. Devise state-of-the-art research through laboratory experiments and detailed project planning with timelines and milestones. Analyze scientific data and provide regular updates on results.

Requirements
- Doctorate degree
- Master’s degree and 3 years of laboratory experience
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of laboratory experience
- Doctorate degree in chemistry specializing in organic synthesis
- 2+ years of experience in synthetic organic or medicinal chemistry
- Consistent track record of peer-reviewed publications and/or patents
- Demonstration of good lab practices with attention to safety
- Clear understanding of structural determination using NMR and MS techniques
Responsibilities
- Design, synthesize, and purify novel compounds for potential clinical drug development
- Work within Amgen’s Induced Proximity Platform (IPP) using PROTAC modality
- Devise and implement state-of-the-art scientific research through laboratory experiments
- Plan detailed procedures for projects including timelines, milestones, and resources
- Review, analyze, and interpret scientific data and results
- Provide regular updates, documentation, and communication on project results
- Collaborate with other scientists and keep current with field developments
- Participate in meetings, support publications or patents, and mentor associates
