In this vital onsite laboratory role, work within Amgen’s Induced Proximity Platform focused on novel PROTAC approaches to modulate intractable targets. Requirements

Doctorate degree
Master’s degree and 3 years of laboratory experience
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of laboratory experience
Doctorate degree in chemistry specializing in organic synthesis
2+ years of experience in synthetic organic or medicinal chemistry
Consistent track record of peer-reviewed publications and/or patents
Demonstration of good lab practices with attention to safety
Clear understanding of structural determination using NMR and MS techniques

Responsibilities

Design, synthesize, and purify novel compounds for potential clinical drug development
Work within Amgen’s Induced Proximity Platform (IPP) using PROTAC modality
Devise and implement state-of-the-art scientific research through laboratory experiments
Plan detailed procedures for projects including timelines, milestones, and resources
Review, analyze, and interpret scientific data and results
Provide regular updates, documentation, and communication on project results
Collaborate with other scientists and keep current with field developments
Participate in meetings, support publications or patents, and mentor associates
