About this role

The Gates Foundation seeks a Senior Manager to lead product introduction and market access for women's health products and technologies in India. This role is central to advancing equitable health outcomes within the country's health innovation ecosystem.

You will partner with grantees and pharmaceutical companies to ensure successful product uptake in both public and private health markets. Daily work includes shaping go-to-market strategies, conducting market research, managing manufacturing partnerships, and driving procurement and demand generation.

The position is based in New Delhi and reports to the Deputy Director of Health R&D, India Country Office, with a dotted line to Women’s Health Innovations leadership in Seattle. You will collaborate closely with program strategy teams and cross-functional partners across the India Country Office.

This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the design and deployment of novel contraceptives, therapies for heavy menstrual bleeding, maternal health products, and STI diagnostics. You will synthesize market insights to ensure products are built for real-world deployment in low- and middle-income countries.

Requirements

  • Experience leading product introduction and market access strategies for health products in low- and middle-income countries.
  • Deep knowledge of India's public and private health markets, including national programs and state-level rollouts.
  • Ability to manage complex partnerships with grantees, pharmaceutical companies, and government stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills to synthesize market research and health-system data into actionable plans.
  • Experience with women's health products, devices, or therapeutics preferred.
  • Strong project management skills to drive cross-functional go-to-market activities.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical R&D, regulatory pathways, and manufacturing partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and shape the foundation’s product introduction and market access strategy portfolio for women's health innovations in India.
  • Lead and execute product introduction strategies for priority devices and drug-device products spanning public-sector and private-sector channels.
  • Drive go-to-market planning covering market research, manufacturing and supply partnerships, market access, procurement strategies, and demand generation.
  • Synthesize market and user insights, downstream adoption barriers, and health-system readiness into upstream development and planning.
  • Manage grantee and external partner relationships to achieve desired grant impact and hold grant/contract ownership for relevant projects.
  • Prepare written analyses and strategic recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.
